Mathematics

This term in Mathematics, students will be learning to: 

• Multiply and Divide: Students will develop strategies for solving multiplication and division problems. They’ll learn to recognise how these operations relate to each other and will work with number facts to build fluency. 

   

• Apply Multiplication Facts: Building on their understanding, students will apply multiplication facts to solve word problems, recognise number patterns, and explain their mathematical thinking. 

   

• Explore Angles: Students will identify angles as measures of turn and use right angles as a reference to compare other angles. They will explore angles in everyday objects and situations.

   

• Tell the Time: Students will read and write the time to the nearest minute and understand how to convert between units of time, such as minutes and hours.
