How long have you worked at BSC?

Nearly four years now.

If you could choose to be anything for a day, what would it be?

I think I’d like to be a whiteboard so I could see how students' ideas come together, like when they're brainstorming and mind-mapping, and getting to see their ideas take shape.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Scrambled eggs on toast - it’s just so simple but satisfying, and you could literally have it any time of day.

Is there anyone who has influenced you as a teacher? In what way?

Yes, my former accounting teacher at school. The way he taught and brought everything together made it all make sense. He was also very kind, and that was probably my first influence in wanting to become a teacher. I also loved the subject, so that definitely helped.

What book/TV series/podcasts/movies are you into at the moment?

I really, really like the author Kristen Hannah. I’ve recently read The Great Alone. My all-time favourite TV series is pretty basic, but it’s Gilmore Girls.

What is your favourite movie?

My all-time favourite movie is The Parent Trap.

What is your favourite sport to watch or play?

My favourite sport to watch is swimming because I used to compete myself, and I love watching the amazing athletes. I also run quite a lot, so I enjoy watching running events too.

What is your ideal way to unwind and relax?

I like going to the gym or for a run. I also enjoy reading, and I like going for a coffee or a walk with friends.

What skill would you like to master?

I would love to learn Spanish because that would be very useful when I visit South America.

What would you sing at karaoke night?

Anything by ABBA, but if I had to pick just one, Dancing Queen. It’s a classic that the crowd can really get into.

Where in the world would you most like to go, that you’ve never been?

There are so many places I’d love to go. I’d love to visit Banff in Canada and Ushuaia, at the southern tip of Argentina, and basically just explore South America. There are many more places, but those would probably be my top picks.

Who would you like to swap places with for a day?

Maybe one of my siblings, so I could see what their day looks like and have the chance to visit home as well.
