Year 6 RE Test

Early in Term 3, our Year 6 students sat the annual Religious Education Test. Due to the floods out west, results were slow in returning. However, we are extremely proud of all our Year 6 students. Below are our some of our results:

From the 538 students from across the Diocese who completed the RE test, St. Joseph's Glen Innes' overall average score was the second highest.

In Year 6, we had 17 students achieve a high distinction (80% or better), 5 students achieve a distinction (70-80%), 2 students achieve a credit (60-70%) and 3 students achieve a participation. It is also very exciting to note that all our students achieved over 50% in the test.

We would like to congratulate all our Year 6 students on their outstanding application and results!

Sacrament of Reconciliation

During term 4 our Year 2 students, and any other student who has not completed the Sacrament, is invited to complete their Sacrament of Reconciliation. Please find below the dates for the Sacrament, including the first Catechesism session and parent information session:

Parent Information Session for Sacrament of Reconciliation: Thursday 6th November 5:30pm

Sacrament of Reconciliation: Friday 28th November at 12:15pm

On Tuesday 21st October, Father Thaddeus came and spoke to all our Sacramental students from year 2 to year 6 about Baptism, Reconciliation and Communion.

October, The Month of Mary

October is designated as the "Month of the Rosary" in the Catholic tradition, a time to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, primarily because of its association with the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7th. To celebrate this, our students have made their own Rosary Beads!

St. Joseph's Family Mass

On November 30th, we are joining with St. Patrick's Parish for a Family Mass. Our students are invited to read, present the gifts, altar serve and sing in the small choir. Mass will be followed by a small morning tea. We welcome all our families, friends and community members to celebrate Mass with us.
