Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,
Welcome back for Term 2! We hope everyone had a restful break and is feeling ready for a great term ahead.
It’s been lovely to see the calm and settled start across all our classes this week, with students getting straight back into their learning.
A big thank you to our staff for the efforts they have put into supporting students as they return to school routines. We’re looking forward to another positive and productive term together.
ANZAC Day
On Saturday, SHNPS school leaders had the honour of participating in the ANZAC Day morning service, where they laid a wreath in tribute to the men and women who have served our country.
We are incredibly proud of our students for representing our school community at such a meaningful occasion.
A special well done to Milla, who confidently read a poem at the service — a wonderful contribution to the commemoration.
School Council
If you are interested in joining our School Council, I encourage you to Tim Dunstan or I for a conversation about what the role involves. Nominations for School Council are open.
2027 Enrolments
If you know of any families who would like a tour of the school, please encourage them to contact the office.
Keep an eye out for our 2027 enrolment information! Our Come and Try days are coming up soon!
Attitude to School Survey
Please see the attached information letter about the 2026 Attitudes to School Survey, which will be conducted with all government school students in Years 4 to 12.
The letter includes important details about the survey, as well as information on what to do if you do not wish for your child to participate.
Thank you to our families who are getting the good word out in the community about our school. 'Word of mouth' is the most powerful form of advertising and consequently, we are fielding many enquiries about our school.
It has been amazing to see so many potential families tour our school.
Duty of Care
Families are reminded that teachers are on duty before school from 8.30am-8.50am and after school from 3.20pm until 3.30pm. Children should not be unattended in the school grounds before or after these times. Thank you for your support and co-operation with this.
Have a lovely weekend.
Kind Regards
Brea
