Why podcasts are a great alternative to screen time.

Podcasts can be great for winding down and creating a sense of calm at the end of a busy day. From gentle stories to guided breathing, each podcast helps children relax their bodies and minds.

  1. Bedtime Forest- emphasises kindness, gratitude and emotional safety. Episodes help children unwind, regulate and drift off to sleep with soft narration and gentle pacing.
  2. 5 Minute Meditation for Kids- builds confidence and resilience using positive affirmations and strengths-based language.
  3. The Bedtime Scientist- It blends calm storytelling with gentle science.
  4. The Calm Kids Podcast- Gentle, imaginative stories, recorded for children by children.

State Swimming Champions - Tom & Alex

Congratulations to our swimmers Tom and Alex, who represented SMCM at the Victorian Championships. They both came home with Gold in the Backstroke as well as Bronze medals in the Freestyle and Butterfly events. We are all very proud of your achievements.
