Wellbeing - Middle School

Welcome back to Term 2!

We hope the Easter break provided an opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time with family and friends. As we return, there is a strong sense of momentum across the College, with Term 2 shaping up to be one of the busiest and most rewarding periods of the year.

This is a significant academic term. Parent/Teacher Interviews will offer a valuable opportunity for students and families to engage in meaningful conversations about progress, goals, and areas for growth. Shortly after, Semester 1 reports will be released, providing a clear reflection of each student’s learning journey and application thus far. We encourage students to approach this period with focus and consistency, setting strong habits that will support their continued development.

Alongside our academic focus, the co-curricular life of the College comes alive for our Middle school students. The rugby and football seasons commence, bringing with them a strong sense of teamwork, commitment, and College pride. In addition, a wide range of activities—including debating/public speaking just to name one, will provide our students with opportunities to explore their interests, build confidence, and develop new skills beyond the four walls of the classroom.

Term 2 is also rich in community events. Founder’s Day later in the term remains a highlight, offering a chance to celebrate our history, traditions, and the spirit that underpins our Edmund Rice faith. We also look forward to initiatives such as the Young Leaders Afternoon Tea with Santa Sabina College this Friday, where students will engage with peers and develop their leadership capacity in a meaningful and collaborative setting.

With so much on offer, this term presents an opportunity for every one of our Middle School students to be involved, to challenge themselves, and to contribute positively to the life of the College. It is set to be a full and dynamic term, and I look forward to sharing it together with the boys.
