Carwatha Cup

ARPS is incredibly proud of our Year 5/6 Boys and Year 5/6 Girls teams who recently participated in the Carwatha Football Cup. Both teams represented the school with outstanding skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
The boys team delivered an exceptional performance, winning all of their matches. Despite their undefeated record, they narrowly finished in 3rd place due to goal difference. The team demonstrated fantastic teamwork and effort, with standout contributions from Daimon, Weaab, Brando, and Kendrick, who each scored a number of impressive goals across the day. In defence, Nelson, Ernest, Pony, Ashton, and Ajay were outstanding, working efficiently to shut down their opponents. Our two goalkeepers, Duc Huy and Anakin, also did an exceptional job, with only three goals conceded across the entire tournament. Every player played their part, and their commitment and positive attitude were evident in every game.
The girls team achieved a remarkable result, winning their finals and showcasing incredible talent and resilience. Aarna was outstanding in goal, conceding only one goal for the entire tournament, which was an incredible achievement. In attack, Mary-Grace led the way with many excellent goals, as did Paula, Tepaka, Hawa, and Kana. A special highlight was Yajing’s amazing goal scored directly from a throw-in, which was a memorable moment for all. The defence also performed superbly, with Trum, Krystal, Cindy, and Melina consistently preventing their opponents from scoring.
Beyond their on-field success, both teams were praised by tournament organisers for their team spirit, kindness, and sportsmanship. They consistently supported one another and showed respect to their opponents.
Congratulations to all players on a fantastic tournament!
