St Mary's Shines!

Whole School Athletics Day

 A Fantastic Day at Athletics!

Yesterday, St Mary’s students from Prep to Grade 6 hit the track for our annual Athletics Day at the Shepparton Athletics Track — and what a fantastic day it was!

Dressed proudly in their house colours, all students participated in a range of exciting athletics activities, including the 100m Sprint, 400m Distance, Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Vortex Throw, Shot Put and Soccer Kick.

While there was plenty of friendly competition throughout the day, the highlight was seeing the amazing sportsmanship and encouragement shown by our students. Students cheered each other on, encouraging their classmates to run faster, throw further and jump higher, while celebrating each other's achievements.

The competition was hotly contested across the day, with students giving their best in every event. The Age Group Champion results were extremely close, with some fantastic performances making for an exciting finish.

The House competition was just as close, with only a small number of points separating all four houses. After a fantastic day of competition, our overall House results were:

🥇 1st – Ryan House

🥈2nd – Archer House

🥉3rd – McAuley House

🏅4th – Marion House

Congratulations to Ryan House on taking out the overall Athletics Day championship! It was a fantastic effort from all four houses, with the close scores showing just how competitive the day was.

A huge congratulations to all of our students for their effort, determination, positive attitude and sportsmanship. You should all be incredibly proud of the way you represented your house and supported one another.

A big thank you also goes to all of the staff and parents who helped make the day such a success.

Well done, St Mary’s — what a fantastic Athletics Day!
