Teaching & Learning

Swimming
Our 2026 Swimming Program begins next week (week 8) with our year 5/6 classes as well as the Scotsburn campus.
Please ensure that you complete consent and payment on Compass prior to your child’s swimming week and if you have any questions, please contact the office.
Many classes require parent helpers to assist, so if that is something that you are available to help out with, please contact your child’s classroom teacher for further details on how you can get involved. All volunteers require a current Working with Children Check on record with our office and are required to complete a Child Safe Code of Conduct form.

Celebration of Learning
Homework – Concert Week
As communicated in last week’s newsletter, no new homework was sent home last Friday due to the busy concert week this week. We hope this gives students and families a little extra breathing space during the week. Our usual homework routines will resume in Week 8, following the concert.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to a wonderful Concert Week!
Book Week - Symphony of Stories
We are now in Book Week, and it has been wonderful to see students enjoying stories, reading and book week inspired activities in classrooms across the school.
This year’s theme, A Symphony of Stories, fits perfectly with our exciting school concert week. Our concert, Journey Through Worlds, is inspired by the beautiful wordless picture book Journey by Aaron Becker. Throughout the concert, students will take audiences on an imaginative adventure through different worlds using music, movement and performance.
Our ‘Name That Tune’ competition is also underway! Each morning, students are listening carefully to a tune and trying to work out which well-known story it matches. This will follow through into next week.
A big congratulations to our first ‘Name That Tune’ winner - Anoushka Vincent! We can’t wait to see who our next winners will be.
It’s shaping up to be a wonderful week celebrating books, stories, music and imagination across our school.
