Ramp Upgrades

Since 2023 the VSBA (Victorian School Building Authority) has been talking about upgrading a number of ramps at our school (both campuses - 10 ramps in total) which no longer meet code.  

Whilst the planning and procurement stage has been drawn out, a contractor has been appointed, and a construction team is ready to go. Works are expected to commence on August 31.  It is expected the works will be completed by late November.

The place is going to feel like a worksite at times and there will be inevitable disruption, but we’ll work with the construction team to keep this to a minimum.   There will be times where classes will need to relocate for a period of time and we’ll update you as these arrangements are made.  

Whilst the works will be disruptive, once completed both sites will be much more functional for those with a disability.  In addition, most of the ramps to be replaced are old and are looking tired, so new ramps will give both campuses a bit of a freshen up.

All of the works are funded by the VSBA, not the school.

The image below will give you a sense of where ramps will be replaced at the Buninyong campus.  As you can see, the works planned are extensive.  At Scotsburn new ramps will be installed at the main entrance to the old building and in front of the glass sliding doors to the multi-purpose room.

Parent Surveys

Last week all parents received an invitation to complete the 2026 Parent Opinion Survey via Compass.  Your opinions are important to us, and your feedback will assist our school in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of the school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement.

The survey will be conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete.

The survey is open from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026.

2027 Prep Enrolments

A reminder if you have a child to enrol in prep for 2027, please access an enrolment form from the website or from the office, fill it out and send it in ASAP.  Once your child is enrolled, you’ll be on the mail out list for transition updates, which includes information about our Preschooler Program and Orientation Day.
