Book Week 2025

On a rainy Wednesday, the 20th of August, the community of PPS gathered to celebrate the 2025 Children's Book Week with the theme 'Book an Adventure'. Parents, teachers and Attunga Preschool gathered in the hall to see and applaud K-6 students dressed up in their amazing costumes, which celebrated the students love of books and the different worlds and experiences they can show us. Thank you to all the parents and Attunga Preschool for coming to help us celebrate this wonderful event!

In the lead up to Book Week, students at Peakhurst Public School have been learning about books shortlisted by the Children's Book Council of Australia, and completing activities based on them. I am looking forward to continuing to read and celebrating these books for the rest of the term.
