Religious Education

Students will embark on a spiritual journey exploring the profound accounts of the Resurrection. The guiding theme is that we are brothers and sisters of Jesus and children of God through our initiation into the Church.
Throughout this unit, students will dive into the Gospel accounts of the disciples’ encounters with the Risen Jesus, from the empty tomb to the road to Emmaus. Students will explore how these first witnesses moved from fear and doubt to a life-changing joy. By reflecting on these encounters, students will discover that the same Risen Jesus meets them today through the Sacraments, the Word, and our community.
Students will then follow the journey of the Apostles as they move beyond Jerusalem, discovering how the Holy Spirit gave them the courage to share God’s love with people of all nations. Students will reflect on how they, too, are missionaries in their own communities—called to use their unique gifts to build up the family of God.
