Principal's Report

School Council
School Council nominations officially closed at 3:00pm on Friday. We are pleased to confirm that we received the required number of nominations for all available positions. As the number of nominations did not exceed the number of vacancies, a ballot was not required.
Congratulations and thank you to the following staff and parents who have been successfully appointed to School Council. We greatly appreciate your willingness to contribute your time, insight and leadership to our school community.
Well done to:
Helen Pallot
Charlotte Oppenheim
Jackie James
Lauren McAuley
Ash Martin
Amy Snow
We look forward to working together to continue strengthening our school in 2026. A very big thank you to our outgoing members Greg Minter, Mali Scruggs and Britt Mossop for their contribution and efforts on School Council. Our newly appointed members will be formally welcomed at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday 16th March, where the 2026 School Council will be confirmed and office bearers appointed.
Stadium AV Equipment
If you have been to one of our assemblies or events over the past year you will be well aware of the challenges that we have faced with our audio equipment in the gymnasium. We are excited to announce that we have just put in the order to upgrade the equipment in the gym, as well as purchasing a projector/screen to share videos and images at whole school events. This was made possible by some wonderful families and businesses from our school and community donating towards the project - 3rd Party Containers Pty Ltd, Coerver Coaching, Knuckey's Agricultural Engineering, McCartney Real Estate and Tidal Building Surveyors. We are very grateful for your support!
Pulse Check-In
Each week, students participate in a short Pulse Check through our Linewize platform. This brief check-in allows students to reflect on how they are feeling and helps us monitor wellbeing trends across the school. The information supports our staff to respond proactively, provide targeted support where needed, and ensure every student feels safe, connected and ready to learn. These regular check-ins are an important part of our commitment to student wellbeing and early intervention.
Meet & Greet Sessions
Thank you to all families that attended the meet and greet sessions. These catch ups were vital in building the connection for a positive start to the year. Just a reminder that you can always reach out to your child's teacher via Compass Connect if you have anything that you wish to share or clarify.
Uniform
There have been questions regarding our school uniform and the process for review. Currently we are still working in the prototype stage, working closely with suppliers to design our new t-shirt and jumper. At this stage it looks like everything will be ready for the 2027 school year, with a two-year transition period for families. As a school council, we will be working closely with families to ensure a smooth transition period, with an updated policy on dress code.
Swimming Sports
Well done to all students who participated in the Swimming Sports last week. A great deal of organisation goes into these events, and a big thank you to Mr McLoughlan for his coordination of the day. Well done to the parents for taking the title in the Staff/Students/Parents race, and also a big thank you to all that volunteered on the day.
