Principal's Message

Dear Endeavour Hills Specialist School community members,
As we come to the end of a busy and rewarding Term 1 at Endeavour Hills Specialist School, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the many wonderful events and achievements across our school community.
This term has been filled with opportunities to celebrate diversity, culture, and inclusion. Our students enjoyed recognising St Patrick’s Day, with fun activities incorporating green themes, creativity, and learning about Irish traditions. We also marked Harmony Day, a special occasion that highlights the importance of respect, belonging, and celebrating the rich cultural diversity within our school. It was fantastic to see students and staff wearing orange and engaging in meaningful discussions and activities about inclusivity. We would also like to sincerely thank the families who came into the school to participate in activities alongside our students and staff—your involvement helped make the day even more meaningful and memorable.
Earlier in the term, we celebrated Lunar New Year, with students engaging in activities that explored cultural traditions, symbols, and stories associated with this important celebration. We also enjoyed acknowledging Holi, the festival of colours, where students learned about its cultural significance and participated in vibrant, joyful activities that promoted inclusion and celebration of diversity.
We also acknowledged Ramadan, a meaningful time of reflection, generosity, and community for many of our families. Recently, members of our school community celebrated Eid, and we extend our warmest wishes to those who marked this important occasion. We hope the celebrations were filled with joy, connection, and togetherness.
I would also like to congratulate our Bursaria students for their participation in Interschool Sports this term. They represented our school with enthusiasm, teamwork, and excellent sportsmanship, and we are very proud of their efforts and achievements.
As we prepare for Term 2, I would like to remind all families about our Mobile Phone Policy (including electronic devices), which will come into effect from the beginning of next term. This policy is designed to support student learning, safety, and wellbeing by ensuring mobile phones and electronic devices are used appropriately and in line with school expectations. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations at home.
A further reminder regarding school hours: Students are expected to be at school on time each day to support a smooth and settled start to learning. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for student success and engagement.
As we head into the holiday break, we wish all families a safe and enjoyable time, including those celebrating Easter. We look forward to welcoming students back for Term 2 on Monday 20th April.
I would like to thank all students, staff, and families for their continued support throughout Term 1. It has been a positive and productive start to the year, and we are proud of the learning, growth, and community spirit shown by everyone.
Warmly,
Karen Hunt
