Years F - 2

In Art, we have commenced our 3D Fleece and Flower Show projects, creating beautiful butterflies. Students began painting their butterflies this week, carefully selecting colours and bringing their designs to life. We will continue adding details and developing our creations and we are looking forward to seeing the finished pieces!
In Literacy, we have been exploring Information Reports and learning about some fascinating and unusual animals, including pink fairy armadillos and blobfish. Students have enjoyed discovering interesting facts about these unique creatures while developing their understanding of how information texts are structured and how they communicate facts to readers.
Last week, students enjoyed a wonderful excursion to the Wannon River, where they had the opportunity to plant trees and contribute to caring for our local environment. It was a beautiful day to get outdoors, work together and learn about the importance of protecting our natural surroundings.
I hope your children enjoy the extra long weekend!
