Catholic Identity
Leader: Katie Rasmussen
Throughout Catholic Education Week, we have loved welcoming families into St Patrick’s to celebrate the learning, relationships and sense of community that make our school so special. Our Step Inside St Patrick’s morning gave parents and carers the opportunity to see the calm, purposeful and engaging learning taking place across the school each day, while also sharing in the warmth and connectedness of our community.
Catholic Education Week is a time to celebrate what Catholic schools offer students and families. While our Catholic faith sits at the heart of St Patrick’s, we are equally proud of the strong sense of belonging, care and opportunity we strive to provide for every child and family within our community.

From May 16–24, schools and communities around the world will celebrate Laudato Si’ Week. Laudato Si’ is a letter written by Pope Francis encouraging people to care for the Earth and for one another. The phrase “Our Common Home” reminds us that we all share responsibility for looking after the world around us through our actions, choices and the way we treat others.
At St Patrick’s, this message connects strongly to the values we encourage in everyday school life — kindness, respect, gratitude and caring for our environment and community. Whether it is looking after our school grounds, including others in play, reducing waste or showing care for those around us, we continue to encourage our students to understand that even small actions can make a meaningful difference.
