Message From Our Principal
Mrs Jackie Stockdale
As we reach the halfway point of Term 2, it has been wonderful to reflect on the many learning opportunities, events, and achievements already experienced across our school community. Students have continued to demonstrate enthusiasm, resilience, and commitment to their learning, while staff have worked tirelessly to provide engaging and supportive learning environments. This term has been filled with exciting activities, celebrations, and opportunities for growth, and we thank our families for their ongoing support and partnership. We look forward to a productive and rewarding second half of the term together.
Open Day:
Our Information Night will still go ahead as planned next Monday evening at 6:30pm.
However, during the day the school will be without power due to planned works in the area, meaning our students will be off on excursion adventures for the day.
Families are still very welcome to attend a daytime tour, or can rebook for another day if they would prefer to see the school fully in action.
Bookings for each of the events can be made via the school website:

Wonderful Women Breakfast:
We were delighted to celebrate all the wonderful women in our lives with a very special breakfast at school. It was fantastic to see so many families come together to enjoy the morning and acknowledge the important role mothers, grandmothers, carers, and special women play in the lives of our students. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped create such a warm and joyful atmosphere. A sincere thank you also goes to our staff for their hard work, organisation, and generosity in making the event such a success.

Mother's Day Stall:
A big thank you to Belinda and Andy for organising our Mother’s Day Stall and helping make it such a wonderful experience for the students. We also sincerely thank all the parents and volunteers who assisted on the day. Your time, generosity, and support are greatly appreciated and helped ensure the event ran so smoothly and successfully.
Sandhurst Switches Off:
A big thank you to all students and staff who participated in our Sandhurst Switches Off Day!
Classes switched off lights during Period 4 and took a break from technology during Period 5 to help promote energy saving and sustainability across our school. Students also did a fantastic job identifying ways to save power throughout the day and entered our “Energy Saver Superstar” raffle. Congratulations to Amelia who won the raffle!
Well done to everyone for getting involved and helping make a positive impact on our environment!

Beanies & Scarves:
As the weather begins to get cooler, we remind families that school beanies and scarves are available for purchase from the school office. These are a great way to keep students warm while remaining in school uniform throughout the winter months. Beanies are available for $10 and scarves for $15. Please contact the office if you would like to purchase any winter uniform items.

Catholic School Parents Website:
Catholic School Parents Victoria (CSPV) have launched a new website which is a fabulous resource for parents. It's great to see two representatives from Sandhurst on the CSPV Council, David Wilkins (Deputy Chair) and Rebecca Newman, who are contributing their time and expertise to support and strengthen the voice of Catholic school families across the state. Please consider sharing a link to the website in your newsletters and follow them on social media. Here is the link to their facebook page.
Uniform:
We are pleased to inform families that a small number of items within our school uniform range have recently been updated and replaced with new stock. These updates have been made to ensure continued quality, comfort, and consistency across the uniform range for our students. Please find the updated price list below for your reference. If you have any questions regarding sizing, availability, or ordering, please contact Hip Pocket.
Mental Health in Primary Schools (MHiPS):
At St Patrick’s, we care deeply about every student’s wellbeing, and we know that good mental health is just as important as learning to read and write.
That’s why we’re proud to be part of the Mental Health in Primary Schools (MHiPS) initiative!
As part of this program, we have a dedicated Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader on staff. Mrs Geenah Loughran is our Leader and her job is to:
Mrs Loughran (Mrs Gee) works closely with teachers, leadership, students, and families to make sure every child feels safe, valued, and supported.
If you ever have any concerns about your child's wellbeing, or just want to know more about the support we offer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are here to work alongside you!
Together, we can build a strong, supportive school community where every child can shine.
Important Health Reminder: 48-Hour Rule for Gastrointestinal Illnesses:

To help prevent the spread of illness within our school community, we kindly remind parents and carers that if your child experiences vomiting or diarrhoea, they should remain at home and not attend school for at least 48 hours after the last episode. This guideline is in line with health recommendations to ensure that children are no longer contagious before returning to school.
Adhering to this 48-hour exclusion period is crucial in minimising the risk of outbreaks and maintaining a healthy environment for all students and staff. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to the well-being of our school community.
