DOWERIN/MURESK TOUR

Farm Focus Industry Tour and Dowerin Field Days
This week, the Farm Focus students completed a three-day industry tour, gaining exposure to agricultural enterprises, industry professionals, and future career opportunities.
The trip took an unexpected turn when the College bus broke down on Mornington Road shortly after departure. Students returned to the College and, after a brief delay, continued their journey on a replacement bus.
Throughout the three days, students visited Balco Hay, CBH Northam, and the Wyalkatchem Agricultural Museum. They also visited Cunderdin Agricultural College, where they toured the campus and facilities. The group enjoyed a delicious lunch of pulled pork rolls and caramel slice. A sincere thank you to Cunderdin Ag College for their hospitality.
During their stay at Muresk Institute, students learned about tertiary study opportunities and toured the campus facilities. They also inspected the canola fields, which were in full flower, creating a spectacular display of yellow.
On Wednesday, students attended the Dowerin Field Day, where they explored the latest agricultural technology and machinery. Several students participated in the fleece judging competition, showcasing their skills and knowledge. Congratulations to Aiden Walker, who earned an impressive second place. Well done to all the students who took part and represented the College.
