Principal's Message

Dear Families, Students and Community Members,

As this newsletter lands in your inbox, we have now concluded Term 3.  Term 3 has been another busy term full of events, activities and most importantly learning for our students.

It has been fantastic to see once again so many parents and families at our Parent Teacher interviews over the past two days. Over 70% of families attended interviews. Families are encouraged to continue the conversations with their child about their opportunities for growth and improvement. Regardless of where each child is currently achieving, there is always opportunity for further growth.

As students and families take a break from school over the next 2 weeks, it is also an opportunity for students and families to reflect. I would like to remind our students and parents about the importance of regular attendance. One day absent a fortnight equates to roughly 4 weeks of school missed across a year. 4 weeks missed of learning and social interactions. There is a strong correlation between high attendance and academic success, and I urge students to ensure that they attend school as much as possible. With progression to a new year level not far away, ensuring we have a regular high attendance gives students the best opportunity to cope with the increased demands of our curriculum.

 Stage 2 Building Progress:

Over the past term, builders have made considerable progress with our stage 2 building program and students will have been watching through the fence as the buildings take shape and start to notice the incredible sports fields and landscaping they will have access to next year.

The build continues to be on track and will be finished at the end of this year in preparation for the beginning of the 2027 school year.

Enrolment Growth

As a new college that just opened just a few years ago, we will see significant increases in our enrolments from year to year. As I write this newsletter, we currently have over 800 students enrolled across Years 7 to 9, this is an increase from the start of the year when we started 2026 with just under 740 students.

As we continue planning for 2027, we are expecting that when we begin the 2027 school year, our enrolments will exceed 1200 students across Years 7 to 10. This is a significant increase and with it will see a significant increase in staff.

Time for a well-earned break

Please remember that whilst students are on school holidays, so too are our teachers and support staff, therefore both teachers and support staff won't be responding to any family or student enquiries over the school holiday period.

I really do hope that over the end of term break, you get to spend time with your favourite people, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone back on Monday 5th October.

Kind Regards,

Mr. Simon Haber
