Principal's News 

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

 

This week we celebrated St Louis' Feast Day and St Louis' cross country.

Thank you to Father Andrew and Mrs Douglas  for the beautiful mass we celebrated as a whole school.

Thank you to Mr Andrew for a wonderfully organised cross country event. A huge thank you to the parents who volunteered to help us run the cross country event.

 

Christmas Festival 

This year traditionally we would be having a school production. We will be doing something different this year. We will be holding a Christmas Festival at St Louis on Friday 6 December. We have held our first meeting to brainstorm all ideas and these are some of the ideas so far.

Performances will include:- 

-all grades 

-Students can join dance troupes

-the school choir 

-the staff band 

-prep nativity play

We will also have food trucks snd market stalls from local providers.

Families can also bring a picnic and enjoy moving around the school watching the different performances that will be happening around the school.

Our next meeting is Wednesday 8 May at 3.30pm in the Board room. If you are interested in joining the meeting please email me.

 

First Communion

On Sunday 5 May, Y4 MP and Y4 EM will be making their First Communion. Please keep these students in your prayers.

 

Assembly

On Monday 6 May at 2.30pm, Y6 GL will be hosting and presenting this week's assembly. All parents are invited to attend.

 

Mother's Day stall

On Wednesday 8 May the PFA are running a Mother's Day stall. All students will have the opportunity to go to the stall and purchase a gift for their mum. Students will need to bring money to spend at the stall.

 

Mother's Day breakfast and Mass 

On Thursday 9 May from 7.30 - 8.30 am, the PFA are inviting all mum and/ or special friend to attend the St Louis' Mother's Day breakfast. in the school hall. The school choir will be performing at 8 am. 

At 9.15 am mums and/or special friend are invited to attend the Mother's Day mass in the hall.

 

District Cross Country.

On Friday 10 May, we have 57 students attending the District Cross country. We wish them all the very best.

Walk To School Day 

Friday May 10th is Walk Safely to School Day. We are encouraging as many students as possible to walk all or some of the way to school on Friday.
