The Orange Door

Sometimes things at home can be difficult, or you might need a little extra support with parenting and your children’s wellbeing. We want to let you know about a free and confidential service called The Orange Door that can help. 

 

What is The Orange Door?

 

The Orange Door is a free service in Victoria that brings together different professionals to help women, children, and families. They are there to listen, provide advice, and connect you with the right services.

 

How can they support your family?

 

The Orange Door can provide a wide range of practical supports, including:

 

  • Connecting you with parenting programs and local playgroups.
  • Help with essentials such as school supplies, bedding, and financial assistance.
  • Support for children’s development and wellbeing.
  • Trauma support and counseling.
  • Advice and safety planning if you or someone in your family is feeling unsafe, afraid, or experiencing controlling behavior at home. 

     

How to access support:

 

You do not need a referral to use this service. You can simply reach out directly: 

 

 

They are open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (closed on public holidays).

If you ever feel that you or your children are in immediate danger, please call emergency services immediately on 000.  Please feel free to reach out if you would like to talk more or need help getting in touch with them.
