Year 5 & 6 STEM – Biology
Adaptations & Evolution – Dinosaur Dig
Students in Year 5 and 6 are completing a Science unit in Biology this term. The ideas that they are investigating from the Victorian Curriculum are:
- Organisms have evolved over time, as seen in fossils and scientific records; the structural features and behaviours of living organisms enable them to thrive in their environments.
In the following images, you can see students in 5P completing a dig for a dinosaur fossil using paintbrushes together as a team. Students enjoyed experiencing archaeology as a team, identifying the dinosaur bones they had uncovered.
