Wellbeing At McAuley 

One Hug, One Kiss and a Wave Goodbye

To help our students start the day feeling calm, confident, and ready to learn, we encourage a simple and consistent morning routine - one hug, one kiss, and a wave goodbye.

While we know goodbyes can sometimes be tricky, keeping them short and positive helps children settle more quickly into their day. McAuley teachers are always nearby to support students as they transition into the classroom and get engaged in their learning.

Wellbeing Week 

Last week we celebrated Wellbeing Week — a special opportunity to focus on positive wellbeing, connection, and healthy habits for both students and staff. Throughout the week, classes participated in a range of activities that encouraged kindness, gratitude, mindfulness, movement, and positive relationships.

Our themed days included Mindfulness Monday, Talk on Tuesday, Wellbeing Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, and Feel Good Friday. Activities included mindfulness experiences, acts of kindness, journalling, movement breaks, and opportunities for students to reflect on ways they can support their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others.

It was wonderful to see students engaging positively in the activities and contributing to a week filled with connection, reflection, and fun across our school community.
