Being Well at Magill

As always, the end of a chapter brings mixed emotions. We feel sad to see such a fantastic group of young people leave our Magill family, but we also feel incredibly proud. For seven years, our teachers have helped them grow, learn, and gain the confidence and skills they need for the exciting adventures ahead.

Watching our Year 6s receive their leaving certificates at graduation this week was truly uplifting. Their testimonials, along with the kind words from the many people who have supported them, reminded us just how special this group is.

One of the greatest joys of working in education is seeing children grow into themselves year after year. In true Magill style, our 2025 student leaders proudly introduced the 2026 student leadership team, who then helped coordinate the farewell tunnel for our outgoing students. And just like that, a new chapter begins.

Of course, while today we highlighted one small group, we know that every student at Magill has something unique and wonderful to offer. A perfect example came from a Year 3 class today, who presented their own book of poems to classmates and guests. What an honour it was to be there. Their recital showcased not only their creativity, but also their individuality—reminding us that every child shines when given the chance.
