Year 10 Anything but Golf - Golf
This term year 10 students have been designing golf courses to transfer & adapt different skills. So far, students have played frisbee golf, lacrosse golf and soccer golf. Due to the wet weather over the past few weeks, students have had to change plans and create a mini golf course with obstacles included! As you can see by some of the photos below the students got very creative!
The Impossible Shot
The Impossible Shot is back for term 4 and it is still proving to be difficult. Students can be selected to attempt the Impossible Shot by demonstrating our expected behaviours in Health/PE classes. Each student selected goes into the draw to win a $200 Rebel Sport Voucher. If you successfully make the shot however, you get THIRTY entries in the draw!!!! See some near misses from last week.
Year 8 Community Sport
This term, Year 8 students have been out in the community, getting involved in some community sports. A massive thank you to Jill Millie for taking us for 2 weeks of golf at the Wedderburn Golf Club. Over the past few weeks students have been lawn bowling at the Wedderburn Bowls Club, with sessions run by our very own – Allan Noordennen! Who is a regular on the bowling green on Saturdays. This week, students started tennis at the Wedderburn Tennis Club, with Jill Millie again providing knowledge on the game and key skills on how to play. We are very fortunate to have members in our community who are happy to give up their time to show students new physical activities.
Year 9 - Mountain Biking
This term, Year 9 students have been exploring some of the beautiful bush trails directly behind the college. Their assessment task is to develop a promotion that encourages more use of these trails, through creating posters, flyers, or video reels. Take a look at some of the amazing places we have found during our bike riding adventures.
