Year 1/2
Each week the Year 1/2 students do handwriting sessions as part of Initial Lit. Holding a pencil correctly is a very important skill that we are trying to teach every day. All letters have a starting point and most letters sit on the heavy line.

On Friday 30th May Grade 5/6s went to EDNA to play netball. Some people bought 10 dollars for the canteen. Everyone had a great time and they all tried their best and hardest. Although we didn’t win all the games, we still had a lot of fun.

Hi we’re Valary and Hayley and we would like to talk about 5/6 netball on the 30th of May. For our team in rounds 1-10 we had a go and it was extremely hard. In round 13 we got a goal and we had fun. Mrs Logie encouraged us to have fun and we had a long rest. Then our school had another go and in round 17 we got a goal. Yay! On our team was Hayley, Valary, Kaiden, Noah, Rubi, Lilly and Izayah so we loved netball. Thanks for reading.

It’s been an exciting fortnight in Performing Arts…
Prep students have been exploring rhythm going on a jungle walk, they were stomping like elephants, tip toeing past crocodiles, swinging like monkeys and crawling like lions.
1/2s have been learning about African cultural dance and music, busting some moves to an African beat and beating their own Djembe drums!
3/4 classes were thrilled to unwrap their brand new recorders, it turns out that recorder isn’t as easy as they first thought but they showed great resilience!
5/6 students have been learning about Indian cultural dance- there were so many laughs as we mastered new dance skills.
