Upcoming Changes in 2024
As 2023 comes to an end, it is a busy and exciting time for our school as we reflect and begin to plan for 2024. This year was particularly important in regards to this reflection with our school review that took place in Term 3. All Victorian schools undergo a school review every four years where an expert panel supports the school to celebrate the strengths and work with the leadership team to suggest changes and goals moving forward. We are now excited to communicate some of these changes with you.

Parent Information Session
END OF TERM REMINDERS:
Awards Evening
The 2023 SCSC will take place on Monday, the 11th December 2023 at GPAC. If your child is receiving an award, you will be notified prior to the event.
Last Day of Term
The last day of term is on Wednesday, 20th December 2023. The finish time is at 12 noon.
Student Lockers
Just a friendly reminder for students to start cleaning out their lockers before they leave at the end of the term.
2023 Year Book
The 2023 SCSC Year Book will be available to families before the end of Term 4.
Return to School 2024
29th January 2024 - Year 7 & Year 12 students
30th January 2024 - All other year levels
2024 Year 12 Hoodies
Our 2024 Year 12 students who have purchased their hoodies are anticipated to receive them early 2024.
2024 Open Evening
The 2024 Surf Coast Secondary College Open Evening will be in Term 1 on the 26th February 2024 @ 6pm.
Students Leaving SCSC at the End of 2023
We are currently in the process of finalising the 2024 timetable and student subject selections.
If your child is leaving Surf Coast Secondary College and won’t be returning for the 2024 school year, please let our Administration Team know as soon as possible to assist with our planning. Please email us at surf.coast.sc@education.vic.gov.au or phone 03 5261 6633.

Family Holidays
Going on a family holiday before end of term?
If you are about to enjoy a family holiday that is occurring outside of the gazetted school holidays with your child, you may enter the absence as "Family Holiday" via Compass. If you require further information or school work to be sent to your child, please notify the school either via email to: surf.coast.sc@education.vic.gov.au or you may call our Administration Team on

If parents/guardians are going away and your child will still be attending school but will be staying with another family member or family friend during this time, please notify us via email to surf.coast.sc@education.vic.gov.au the full name and contact details of the carer and the duration that you will be away. This will ensure that we can contact them in case of an emergency.
