Learning in 1/2B

This week in 1/2B, we continued to develop our ability to improve simple sentences, through the use of adding verbs, adjectives and even adverbs. For instance, we took the simple sentence “I ate donuts and they were good,” and used our knowledge of the different parts of speech, to create more detailed and interesting sentences. We then used colour coding to circle our verbs (red), adjectives (blue) and adverbs (green), to show where we had used our knowledge of building better sentences. After this, we compared the simple sentences with our newly constructed sentences. It was clear to see that the newly formed sentences significantly outperformed the original ones.
