Safety Reminder

Fencing & Front Office Procedures

At Belmont High School, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. To help maintain a secure learning environment, we want to remind everyone of the importance of our fencing and gate policies during school hours.

🔒 Why Are Gates Locked During the School Day?

  • Safety First: Limiting access to the campus helps prevent unauthorized visitors from entering and helps us monitor who comes and goes.
  • Controlled Entry: By keeping gates locked and directing all visitors through the front office, we ensure that everyone on campus is accounted for.
  • Emergency Preparedness: A secured perimeter allows for quicker response during emergencies and lockdown situations.

🏫 Why Students Must Enter or Exit Through the Front Office

  • Students must check in or out through the front office when arriving late or leaving early to ensure accurate attendance and accountability.
  • The front office serves as the only monitored point of entry during the school day, and staff are there to assist with any needs or questions.

⚠️ A Note to Students

Attempting to climb over fences or tamper with locked gates is extremely dangerous and strictly prohibited. These actions:

  • Can lead to serious injury or falls.
  • Will result in disciplinary consequences in accordance with school expectations.
  • Disrupt the safe environment we work hard to maintain for everyone.

We ask for the cooperation of both students and families in following these procedures. Together, we can keep our school safe, secure, and focused on learning.

Thank you for your continued support.
