Parish Update

Father Chinua is moving on from the combined parish of St Francis Xavier and St John's. He has served our parish for over eight years, and we will farewell him on Friday, 29th August, at a whole school mass beginning at 12:30 pm.

In his place, Father Jude will assume the Parish Priest role, and Father Michael Maronga will take on the role of Assistant Parish Priest. We wish them all the best in their new roles and look forward to working with them.

Prayer and Pyjama Night

Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today (August 15th), we celebrated Mass with Father Chinua to recognise the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

This commemorates Jesus' mother Mary being taken to heaven, body and soul.

Thank you to the Grade 5 students who read during Mass and Mrs L-C for singing during our reflection.

Parish Unity is Hope Festival

All families are invited to attend the SFX and SJE Jubilee Year Celebration - Unity is Hope on 24th August at 10:00 am at St John's, Frankston East. The festival will be an opportunity to celebrate the Jubilee Year and also farewell Father Chinua.

Mini Vinnies Update

This term, our Mini Vinnies group is learning about equality and equity.

Equality means treating everyone the same, but equity means giving people what they need to be their best.

We want to help make sure everyone at our school feels included, supported, and valued. We will be spreading the message at assemblies throughout Term 3 and around our school!
