Music

So much music has been happening this term. Grade 5 and 6 attended the TSO’s concert “Australia: One Land, Many Stories” at the Federation Concert Hall. We were seated high up on the balcony for a bird’s eye view and enjoyed some wonderful music from Australian composers, conductors and performers.
Choir performed at Breakfast with our Loved Ones in Week 9. Many students enjoy the chance to come together on Tuesday mornings for choir practice from 8.30am, a chance to shelter from the cold and warm our hearts with joyful singing! Choir and Marimba Group have also been busy rehearsing items for our end of term assembly.
We look forward to a busy Term 3, with our Spring Concert happening in Week 7. More info to come soon! Also on the calendar are more excursions for Grades 2, 3 and 4, an inter-school band festival for Grade 5 and 6 students who play with MacKillop Junior Band, and a visit from Musica Viva who will present their concert “Life is an Echo”.
