Subject Expo & Futures Fair Recap
Last Tuesday, Greensborough College came alive with energy and ideas as we hosted our annual Subject Expo and Futures Fair.
Students in Years 7–10 had the opportunity to explore their subject options for Year 8 through to VCE, chatting directly with teachers about what each subject involves and where it might lead. The displays were a real highlight, with staff putting together vibrant, engaging stalls that showcased the breadth of learning on offer across the college. It was wonderful to see students asking thoughtful questions and genuinely weighing up their options for the years ahead.
A huge thank you to all the teachers who stayed back to make this happen. Giving up your time to speak with students and families about subject pathways makes a real difference, and it doesn't go unnoticed.
Running alongside the Expo was our Futures Fair, where students connected with a range of tertiary providers and organisations offering guidance on career pathways. We were fortunate to welcome Victoria Police, the Australian Defence Force, La Trobe University, Banyule Nillumbik Local Learning Network, Carlton College of Sport, HeadStart Apprenticeships, Melbourne Polytechnic, the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce, Victoria University, and CHES.
Events like these help our students see the many pathways available to them. Thank you to everyone who made the day such a success.
