One of the most rewarding parts of this term has been watching our Year 11 students begin to step into their roles as the senior students of the College. With our Year 12s moving on to their next chapter, there has been a noticeable shift as our Year 11s embrace new opportunities, responsibilities and leadership roles.

Over recent weeks, we have seen students begin thinking about the contribution they want to make to the College in 2027. It has been encouraging to see so many students willing to put themselves forward, step outside their comfort zones and have a go.

Leadership, however, is about much more than wearing a badge or holding a title. It is about the choices we make each day, how we treat others and the example we set. Every student has the opportunity to positively influence our College culture, whether through showing initiative, supporting their peers or simply doing the right thing when no one is watching.

As we look towards 2027, I encourage our students to think about the legacy they want to leave. What kind of College community do they want to help create? How will they contribute to making our College a place where everyone feels connected, supported and proud to belong?

I look forward to seeing our Year 11 students rise to the challenge and make 2027 their own.
