From the 28th of April to 1st of May, Highvale is celebrating Harmony Week!
On Tuesday, students enjoyed a lunchtime of chalk drawings, decorating the courtyard with a colourful array of national flags, animals and plants. It was incredibly heartwarming to see so many cultures and nationalities represented, highlighting the multiculturalism of our school!
Thursday, 30th April was Harmony Day, with students dressing in their cultural attire, and performances occurring at lunch. The diversity of music was spotlighted, with performers playing the bagpipes, Guzheng, and singing. All gold coin donations were donated towards UNICEF, an organisation advocating for and improving the lives of children worldwide.
Kahoots run by Highvale’s SRC are testing the general knowledge of students on Friday. The winners of the two rounds will receive canteen vouchers!
All in all, the participation, spirit and community observed through these events truly fostered a sense of school pride.
Happy Harmony Week!
