News from our Principal

Mrs Sue Clay| Principal

Dear Parents,

This week we were fortunate to have Tom Herschell visit us and spend time with the students in Year 3 and Year 6, running powerful workshops that addressed a number of relevant age related issues. “Find Ya Feet” workshops provide a safe platform for the students to tell their story, the skills to own their stuff, and the tools to shift the culture that’s been holding them back from speaking up and asking for help. The students left his workshops feeling empowered and transformed into courageous young men and women who were able to tell and own their stories.

We thank Tom and his not for profit organisation whose work helps thousands of young men and women in our schools around Australia by promoting authenticity and honesty, creating and consolidating genuine relationships and building strong mental health.

The Intergenerational Program has been launched again!

Our Intergenerational Program was launched last week with much success and has had a truly heartwarming start this term, bringing together Year 3 students with elderly parishioners, grandparents, neighbours, and friends of our school community.

The room was filled with stories, laughter, and genuine connection as students and guests shared activities, memories, favourite books and conversations.

It is inspiring to see how naturally the generations have bonded, reminding us of the power of community and the joy that comes from learning with—and from—one another. This initiative continues to strengthen our commitment to fostering meaningful community partnerships and nurturing socially aware learners.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Please keep our Year 6 students and their families in your prayers as they prepare to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit when they are confirmed in June. It is a very special time for them in their faith development as they journey towards sacramental life as young Catholics.

“Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful

and kindle in them the fire of your love.”
