Kia Ora Friends - welcome to term three.

I am away on Study Leave for the first four weeks, so I am sorry that I am not available to greet our children before school, meet with parents or support the various school events that will be happening during that time.

I am staying fully in contact with staff via email, and am happy for anyone to contact me that way as needed, as usual.

Our wonderful school is in the eminently capable hands of Adele Nummy in my absence. She is Acting Principal and has everything well in hand.

Our school is blessed to have an exceptional leadership team and an exceptional staff team, which gives me great confidence and comfort if and when I am away.

We have a number of school events happening this term, the first big one being Matariki Celebrations this Friday and our upcoming 100 Days Celebration. I know our children will be working hard on their creative collections and I look forward to seeing photos of the day.

Friday of next week is our first Whānau Time for the term, hosted by rooms 3 and 11, with Cook Island Language Week as the theme.

Late last term our staff put together an awesome morning tea and a movie of my time at WHS with their personal thoughts, to celebrate National Principals' Day. Adele organised this and was actually a month early, so I had NO idea it was happening. The great thing is if she had waited until the actual day, I'd have missed out.

As I noted above, our staff are a blessing, and I treasure them, every one.
