Dear Sacred Heart Kew Families,

Welcome back everyone. I hope that you and your family enjoyed a restful school holiday break. Perhaps enjoying some fun together, away from the drop off and pick up routine of school life? Here we all are, half way through July and Winter. Term 3 has officially arrived. 

Term 3 will bring us many things. Hopefully, this will include some sunshine and warmer days to come. Classrooms are once again hives of activity and learning, there was even a special ‘surprise’ birthday for Milo the Magnificent down in the Prep classrooms yesterday!  This afternoon we enjoyed presenting our Semester 2 School Leaders badges at our special assembly. Congratulations to all our new Class Captains and Environmental Monitors for this semester. We look forward to your leadership in this second half of the year. 

Next Friday we look forward to and welcome all our Grandparents and Special Friends to school. Grandparents and Special Friends Day is one of the most treasured events on our school calendar. It provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the special people who enrich the lives of our children through their love, wisdom, encouragement, and support. Whether they are grandparents, extended family members, family friends or neighbours, these important people play a significant role in helping children grow in confidence, resilience, and kindness. They share stories, traditions, life experiences, and values that connect generations and create lasting memories.

The day is also a chance for our children to proudly showcase their learning and welcome these special guests into their school environment. Seeing classrooms in action, participating in activities, and sharing in the excitement of school life strengthens the partnership between home and school, while creating meaningful moments for everyone involved. 

We look forward to warmly welcoming our Grandparents and Special friends as we celebrate the important role they play in the lives of our children. Thank you for the countless ways you encourage, inspire, and support our children. Your presence makes this day truly special, and we are grateful to celebrate with you. We hope you enjoy your classroom visits, Mass and Morning Tea next Friday morning. 

We look forward to many more exciting events and activities this term.
