Paddock to Pl

(Ms Bush)

Students have enjoyed the process of making rice paper rolls in Paddock to Plate across the entire school. Juniors also assisted in planting lavender near our garden beds and our potted citrus trees. Seniors used the remainder of our precooked apple to make and enjoy apple pies.

Biggest thank you to Michael for keeping an eye on our gardens. We had our first cauliflower harvested this week which will be fermented in brine in the coming days, ready to be used in term 4. We also had a visit by Woman’s Cooking group and enjoyed having Tania assisting with a group with the senior class.

Thank you to all students for their persistence, grit, responsibility and respect for the program we all get to enjoy together. These are life long skills being built that harness connection, fun and happy memories and build a stamina for life long learning using practical skill and knowledge that we will all reflect back on in coming years with much gratitude.

Champions in the junior P2P for this past week were Bentley Hose-Rea and in the senior P2P was championed by Ashton M.

Trusting all will have a safe and enjoyable holiday break. Looking forward to further growth and knowledge in the Paddock to Plate program in term 4, 2026.

Best,

Jen Bush
