3-4 Class
(Miss Sahyoune)
It is hard to believe that we have already reached the final week of Term 3! Well done to all of the Grade 3/4 students on a fantastic term. It has been a busy and rewarding few weeks, and we have plenty to look forward to as we head into our final term of the year.
Last week, we enjoyed an excursion to the gallery and library in Geelong. The students represented Alvie Primary School exceptionally well, demonstrating excellent behaviour, respect and enthusiasm throughout the day. They made us very proud to be part of the Alvie Primary School community.
In Literacy, we are getting very close to finishing our classroom novel Restart. The students have become very engaged in Chase's journey and are looking forward to discovering whether he will return to his old ways or continue to embrace the changes he has made and become a new person.
In Mathematics, we have been revising 3D objects and exploring their properties. This has been a great opportunity for students to consolidate their understanding through practical activities and discussion as we approach the end of a busy term.
During Social and Emotional Learning, our focus has been on identifying our individual strengths and exploring ways we can develop and build upon these strengths to become the best versions of ourselves.
This Friday promises to be a wonderful way to finish the term, with Footy Colours Day, pie-throwing competitions, and football and netball matches between teachers/parents and students. We are looking forward to a fun-filled day and a fantastic celebration of the term!
I sincerely wish all students and families a safe, relaxing and enjoyable holiday break. Take the opportunity to rest, recharge and enjoy some quality family time. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the final term of 2026!

Congratulations to our Student of the Week!
