Dance Team Success at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod 

Our Junior and Senior Dance Teams recently competed at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod at AB Paterson College, and we couldn’t be prouder of their performances! Both teams brought incredible energy and enthusiasm to the stage, delivering fantastic performances. 

Our students truly demonstrated The Tally Way, showing wonderful sportsmanship and encouragement towards fellow competitors and maintaining an optimistic and positive attitude before taking to the stage. It was fantastic to see them cheering on other schools and supporting one another throughout the day. 

We are thrilled to celebrate that our Junior Dance Team placed 1st and our Senior Dance Team placed 2nd in their respective sections. A huge congratulations to all of our dancers for their hard work, dedication and positive spirit. We are so proud of you! 

From Eisteddfod to Night of Stars…

Eisteddfod gave our Starlight Strings and Staccato Senior Strings musicians a wonderful chance to bring all those weeks of rehearsing together and share what they’ve been working towards. There were nerves, excitement, plenty of concentration and some really lovely moments of musicians listening, adjusting and making music as an ensemble.

We’re already moving onwards and have been building on everything we learnt through the Eisteddfod process and beginning some brand-new repertoire for Night of Stars in Term 4. That means new notes to untangle, new techniques to explore, more independence within the ensemble, and another opportunity to stretch what we can do together.

There is still plenty of growing, experimenting and music-making ahead and I’m very excited to hear where these next pieces take us.
