We were blessed with the weather at all competitions until we were met with torrential downpours in Albury for the regional championships. Although some of our students struggled in the wintery conditions some great results were still seen:

- Thea Kelly 3rd in the 9/10 girls High Jump
- Jack Tidore-Stone DNF hurdles after slipping at the second last hurdle
- Charlie Hudson 5th in 12/13 boys High Jump
- Noah Campbell 6th in 9/10 boys High Jump
- Emily Tierney-O’Hara 2nd in 9/10 Girls Discuss.
Well done to all students in what were tough conditions. But they stayed strong and did the best they could. Good Luck to Emily as she ventures to Melbourne in a few weeks to participate in State level competition for discus.
Regional Basketball:
A big congratulations to both of our Representative basketball teams who represented St Luke’s at the regional basketball championships.
The Boys team played really well together drawing with St Brendan’s in the first game. They then came up against a very strong St Mary’s Myrtleford team who eventually won the tournament overall. The boys then went on to win their next two games against Strathmerton and St Joe’s Numurkah. Well done boys.
The girls played very well and showed great sportsmanship. Although they lost three out of the four games they kept their heads up high, considering they were shorter then most teams. The girls came out in the last game with very high spirits having won the game. At the end of the game the scores were locked in a tie but Addi had 2 free throws to come. Under lots of pressure she shot the first free throw and it dropped in to win the game by 1. Well done girls.
