Victorian President's Report
Tina King - APF Victorian President
The APF is committed to working in partnership with other professional associations and peak bodies, and we take great pride in the strength of these collaborations. Such relationships are vital in ensuring the collective voice of school leaders is heard and in advancing our shared priorities for the profession.
Last week, I had the privilege of attending the VASSP Conference Dinner, which was an excellent opportunity to engage with secondary colleagues and to celebrate the outstanding work of the VASSP team in delivering a highly successful event. I extend my congratulations to VASSP on what was both an enjoyable and professionally rewarding occasion.
In addition, I was pleased to accept invitations to attend VPA Network meetings, where I presented on the work of the APF, with particular focus on our current Log of Claims. These forums provide valuable opportunities to share insights, discuss challenges, and reinforce the importance of collaboration between our organisations.
Such engagements highlight the collegiality and respect that exists across our professional organisations. Together, we are able to advocate more effectively for the needs of school leaders, promote the importance of strong and sustainable school leadership, and work towards shaping a system that enables principals and assistant principals to thrive in their roles.
