Our NPS 'ALWAYS ON' FEEDBACK PORTAL - Leave your feedback via this link
We are currently in the process of giving our website a much-needed facelift, and as part of this process, we need to update the photos we have on file. If you are handy with a digital SLR camera and have some knowledge in this space - and - are willing to support us by undertaking a "NPS photoshoot", please contact the office.
Photos needed would be of our buildings and grounds, learning spaces, specialist programs, and images of the wonderful teaching and learning programs we offer. :)
When students enrol in a Victorian DET school and enrolment paperwork is completed, parents/caregivers are asked to indicate their levels of education as well as their current occupation at the time. This information makes up what we call our SFOE, or, Student Family Occupation Index.
This 'index' is used to determine a school's socio-economic profile and helps identify students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This additionally informs DET, where schools are then allocated additional funding, known as equity funding, to support students who may require additional learning support.
If, as a parent/caregiver, you believe your employment details have changed, please get in touch with the administration office so we can update our information. Thank you.
The specialist team would like to invite you to an open morning on Wednesday the 27th of August. Come and join in a morning of fun in PE, Art, Indonesian & Music/Performing Arts lessons with your child!
The morning will run from 9am until 11am and families are invited to come for all or just some of your child’s sessions. Please see the timetable attached.
Together with School Council, our Parents and Friends Subcommittee applied to run a Bunnings BBQ and were successful in organising a date this year.
Our Newtown PS Bunnings BBQ is set for - Sat 18th October, 2025 - at the Waurn Ponds Bunnings Store.
Please keep this date in mind, we will be calling for a number of volunteers to volunteer their time on this day in support of our fundraising efforts.
Our fundraising focus for this year is to enhance and re-energise our whole school Library space!
