School Captain's Report 

Good afternoon NPS families, this is our newsletter piece for week 5 of term 3.

In the Preps, they have been learning about measuring and collecting data in math and have been writing about elephants for Fun Fact Friday! They have also been learning about blurbs and poems in reading.

Meanwhile, in the Juniors, they have been learning about number lines and adding tens, they have also been writing sentence starters and learning about reading body language as part of their wellbeing sessions. 

During week 5, the middles have been learning how to calculate subtraction and addition using the vertical method. They have also been working on procedural writing texts and trying to solve word finds.

The seniors have been learning about multiplication and reading the book 'Gathering Blue' to develop summarising and inferencing skills, and have been writing poems like the blackout poems.

Upcoming events are Division athletics 9/9/25. Good luck to everyone who is attending!
