Science & Engineering Challenge
On Friday 7 March, 22 students from years 7 to 10 participated in the Sapphire City Science and Engineering Competition in Inverell, where our school achieved an impressive fifth place overall.
Notably, our bridge team, consisting of Kody Halliday, Annie Potter, and Jessika Knutsen, excelled by winning the bridge test outright, successfully transporting all ingots across the bridge until it was compromised by the 8.5 kg bridge buster ingot. All participating students demonstrated remarkable effort across a diverse range of tasks, representing our school commendably. This annual event provides an excellent opportunity for our students to engage in STEM-based challenges against peers from other schools.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Lions Club of Tenterfield for their generous contribution toward our school's entry fee. A special mention also to the Bowling club & Golf club for use of their buses & Mr Clay & Mr Douglas for taking them.
