Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

Each morning the Australian, Aboriginal and the Torres Strait Islander flags are hoisted on the flagpoles at the front of the school to welcome all families and visitors. Their presence symbolises the school’s commitment to promote community partnership and a public commitment towards reconciliation. After consultation with the local Elder’s group, it was also suggested the assembly hall should display these three flags and consequently this request has been undertaken. Flying and displaying the flags that represent the First Peoples of this Country has completed one of the goals in the school Reconciliation Action Plan. This now provides an opportunity for students, staff and families to learn about the meaning and history of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags.
