From the Classroom - M3 (Holly)

This week in M3, we have been focusing on building our comprehension skills by thinking carefully about what we read. While reading, writing, and spelling, students have been using their phonemic awareness to help them recognise sounds in words and strengthen their understanding of texts.
In writing, students have been busy editing their narratives and working hard to complete their published narrative pieces. It has been wonderful to see the effort students are putting into improving their writing and sharing their creative stories.
We have enjoyed exploring 2D shapes. Students have been comparing different shapes by looking at the number of sides and their features, helping them build a stronger understanding of shape properties.
Students have been learning about Australia and its neighbouring countries in Humanities. We explored where these countries are located and discussed some interesting facts about Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand.
It has been a fantastic week of learning in M3, and we are proud of the effort everyone is putting into their work!
