Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people. May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.
There are lots of exciting events coming up for the remainder of the term. These provide wonderful opportunities for our school community to engage with students’ learning, school engagement and celebrate their achievements. We look forward to sharing these experiences with you and welcoming families along to upcoming events.
Assembly – Friday 13th March
We welcome our school community to our next school assembly on Friday 13 March at 2:30pm. Our community is warmly invited to attend as we celebrate and officially present our Junior School Council members with their badges. It’s always a special moment to recognise our student leaders and the important role they play in our school community.
Student-Led Conferences - 31st March and 1st April
Our Student-Led Conferences are designed to strengthen student voice and learner agency, while also including valuable input from teachers and families. Students and teachers have been working hard to prepare an informative and engaging experience where students can share their learning and reflect on their progress, including their Student Learning Portfolios. We look forward to welcoming families to the Student-Led Conferences on 31st March and 1st April.
Please remember to book a time via Sentral. Bookings close on Friday 27th March.
Athletics Day - Friday 27th March
Staff and students are looking forward to our Athletics Day at Llanberris Recreation Reserve on Friday 27th March. Katherine has been working hard behind the scenes organising the day and preparing students for their events. We are excited for a great day of participation and house spirit!
Warm regards,
Sarah Bigmore
