Glenroy College is excited to announce an exciting partnership between Chain Of Ponds, Broadmeadows Rotary Club and Merri-bek Youth.

The project, headed up by former MP, Kelvin Thompson, engages local community, groups and families to ‘adopt’ a section of Moonee Ponds Creek. The aim is to keep it clean and improve the waterway’s environment.

Our student Environment Group, GECOS, in collaboration with the Rotary Club will be out at our section – which runs from the Western Ring-road bridge to Jacana Reserve – cleaning it up monthly.

The photos included show the first trip to the area with students, Bea Boiser, Freya Travers, Shanique Pretorius, Ting Hu and Alexa Ortega enjoying the fresh air and making a difference out in the community.

They are joined here by members of Broadmeadows Rotary, Principal Andrew Arney, Nic Oogjes and Kelvin Thompson - all excited to be making a difference.
