Principal's Update

Hi everyone,

As we approach the end of the school year, I want to remind families of the critical role consistent attendance plays in students' success. Every day counts, especially as students wrap up projects, prepare for assessments, and participate in valuable year-end activities. Whilst we are holding a number of celebratory events, including Year 6 Graduation and the Christmas Concert, students are expected to attend school up to and including Friday 20th December, which is our last day of school. On this day school will conclude at 1:30pm for all students, with buses running to their normal route at this earlier time.

Attending school regularly ensures students stay on track academically and socially while building good habits for the future. Let’s finish the year strong together! Thank you for your continued support in prioritising education.

State-Wide Orientation Day

Tuesday 10th December is the Victorian State-Wide Orientation Day. On this day Year 6 students will attend their Secondary School for 2025. We will welcome our 2025 Foundation students into their new classes and our 2025 Year 1 to Year 6 students will meet their new class and teacher.

Hats

Hats are compulsory for Term 4 as part of our SunSmart policy. Please ensure your child brings a hat to school every day to stay sun-safe during outdoor activities. This is also essential for our swimming program when students will be walking to and from the swimming pool.

Drink bottles

Don’t forget to pack a water bottle to help your child stay hydrated throughout the day, especially as the weather warms up. Thank you for your cooperation!

2025 Student Leaders

We are excited to hear the Year 5 students’ speeches as they present their cases for becoming student leaders next year! This is a wonderful opportunity for them to showcase their leadership skills, confidence, and vision for the school community.

We encourage all students to support their peers and wish all participants the best as they take this important step in their leadership journey. Let’s celebrate their efforts and enthusiasm! Families are invited to attend the speeches which will be held on Monday 9th December at 9am in the Multi Purpose Room.

Have a great week!
